Categories: Paternalism

This was a development of my Warwick paper in 1999 that concentrates more on the future self argument and its potential to both justify and deny intervention with doubts about whether or not we really care about our future self. This brings in to focus the thoughts of John Rawles and Derek Parfitt amongst others.

This was presented at the University of Sussex with Sarah Hale as my respondent.
